About Ski Patrol at Heavenly

Picture
Heavenly Area Ski Patrol has been in existence since 1960. It is part of the National Ski Patrol (NSP) system. NSP, a network of volunteer patrols throughout the United States with strong international ties, is a federally chartered non-profit organization.  NSP is divided into Regions then Divisions. The Heavenly Area Patrol (HAP), like other Lake Tahoe volunteer alpine and nordic patrols, is in the Far West Division which is in turn in the Eastern Sierra Region. Our members patrol at Heavenly Ski Resort.

Joining Heavenly Area Ski Patrol involves becoming a member of the National Ski Patrol. The benefits available to members, beyond the exceptional "feel good" associated with helping others, include discounts on a wide variety of products and services as well as extensive training in emergency management skills.
