Candidates practicing on a "patient"

Candidates work in groups of 2 or 3 with one candidate acting as leader on the scenario. The object is to secure the site, assess the injury and provide appropriate treatment.

• First aid and area procedures training in the snow. Learn patrol procedures, communication protocols and how to use Heavenly equipment.
• Practice periodically during the year at special training events and during scheduled patrol days.
